Concinvincing Cowboy outfit…?
For our school disco we can dress up if you want. It’s my last disco, and me and my three best friends want to go as cowboys. Two of my friends have fabulous outfits, but me and the other girl, Molly – don’t really have any stuff. I have a not-very-good-cowboy-hat, no cowboy boots, and no neckerchief. One of my friends suggested going as an Indian (As in Cowboys and Indians) but I’m not sure I like that idea – and where do I get a headdress from. Also, there are boys there and I don’t want to look like a total freak.
I can buy some things – but I don’t want to spend much money on an outfit and also my mum doesn’t want me to buy cowboy boots as it’s the beginning of summer.

I would try to shop at Goodwill. I got clothes there for a Western party, and it didn’t bother me that I wasn’t going to wear them again because they were so inexpensive. Some people at the party I went to dressed up as Indians, and it was very cute. Another idea I really liked was dressing up as a gunslinger. That way you still have the cowboy factor, but you’ll look pretty cool and not so cheesy. I’m sure you couldn’t bring fake guns, but you could get a long coat, boots, a western-looking vest, and a cowboy hat.
